Job Description

We are a small but growing company that customizes and manufactures automation components in search of a reliable employee that is handy and driven to learn new skills. We know this isn't the most common place terminology, but this is an industry you're familiar with. Think your juicer, bathroom fan, or the drones that film the amazing views you like to watch late at night on YouTube. All these things use automation motors. We assemble and quality control a number of motors that are utilized in a variety of applications. This is a position with a focus on manufacturing and quality control of produced parts. You will be taught builds and testing procedures and supplied tools for tasks. This a reasonably repetitive job with some variety in tasking from day to day. Further duties include packing and shipping, recording of data, and some other light computer work. A detailed summary is below. Requirements Experience with basic hand tools (i.e. wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, etc.) Able to use hands for repetitive assembly tasks Able and willing to follow instructions and learn new skills Able to identify wire colors and use the metric system Able to periodically lift up to 50 lbs High School Diploma or GED required, college or technical school a plus Attention to detail and strong work ethic Able to work alone and with others Experience with Microsoft Office Suite Responsibilities Soldering wire and components for various automation applications Assembling wire harnesses (pin crimping, wire stripping, connector building, etc.) Using low voltage power supplies for testing products Preparing pallets of goods for freight shipments Preparing boxes for shipment Identifying and recording serial numbers, part numbers, and some other data Assembling automation components either by hand tool or electrical tool Evaluation and quality control of work and components This position is hourly and full-time: Monday through Friday, 8am - 5pm.
