Position summary:
Do you have a passion for enhancing industrial automation systems across diverse applications and industries? As an Industrial Automation Technician , you will play a key role in helping customers modernize and optimize their control system infrastructure. Working across multiple industries and facilities, you'll assess, design, and implement cutting-edge automation solutions that enhance manufacturing reliability and efficiency. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with industry leaders, provide expert consultation, and drive innovation in industrial automation. What you'll do:
- Conduct hands-on control system assessments and design modern automation solutions.
- Implement documented automation service offerings at client sites, ensuring efficiency and safety.
- Develop and present technical recommendations to both engineers and non-technical stakeholders.
- Provide on-site and virtual technical training to equip customers for long-term success.
- Contribute to the development of new automation services based on client needs and industry trends.
- Build strong relationships with operations and plant controls teams to support their automation goals.
What we're looking for: Degree in Engineering, Technology, or Manufacturing (or equivalent experience). 3+ years of experience as a Controls Engineer or similar role. Hands-on experience with PLC, HMI/SCADA, plant historian, motion control, and industrial networks. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Experience creating detailed Bills of Materials (BOMs) for automation solutions.
Preferred:
Experience with Rockwell Automation control system solutions.
Travel Requirements:
