Job Description:
This position will assist the Manufacturing Engineering team in all IE&A locations with the maintenance tasks listed below.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
: Assist in design, line layout and movement, fabrication, installation of specialized tools, industrial equipment, and material handling devices used for manufacturing. Assist Employee Involvement teams with workstation design, fabrication, and implementation of manufacturing processes and improvements with an emphasis on ergonomics. Will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining all manufacturing tools and equipment. Assist manufacturing engineers with audits, design, start-up and application of equipment, tools and facilities PM program.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
: Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook) Strong oral and written communication skills Must be familiar with the operation and repair of pneumatic, hydraulic, and electric tools and equipment Previous weld, lift truck, and high lift applications experience required Must have plumbing and air system experience Must be mechanically inclined with experience in sheet metal fabrication and welding Must possess excellent problem-solving skills Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings required Able to work and communicate with vendors/suppliers and co-workers Lockout/tagout certification is a plus Must have a positive attitude, be highly motivated, a self-starter and be able to work effectively with little supervision Proficiency in MVP is preferred Proven project management and facility skills are required Ability to set-up torque tools, and troubleshoot Smart tooling is preferred Red Tag and Hot Work Permit use is preferred 3D design and printing, as well as SolidWorks and AutoCAD experience is preferred
