This role involves assisting the team with designing, building and supporting electro-mechanical manufacturing and test equipment. We're looking for a self-starter with strong troubleshooting and computer skills who also likes to dig into work on the manufacturing floor. Our ideal candidate will have an Associates Degree in a related field or comparable work experience, strong computer skills to include problem tracking tools, and a basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical equipment. Assist engineers and more senior technicians. This would include assisting with the following per ETC standards: Assist in the setup and conducting of thermal testing (welding thermocouples, thermocouple positioning on test samples, recording readings during thermal tests) Assist in the setup and conducting of photometric testing (acquiring equipment, recording data) Assist in setting up and conducting product drop testing Assist in the setup of product programming Assist engineers and more senior technicians with assembly of mockups and prototypes Assist in organizing parts for build Assist in the procurement of parts Assist in the building and maintenance of ETC equipment Assists in building prototype and production test equipment Troubleshooting electrical and mechanical assemblies Assist in maintaining lab equipment Assist in organizing and maintaining the technical library Provide task completion time estimates Attend identified training classes Participate as a team member, works effectively in a team environment Create schematics for test fixtures Write work instructions for product programming and testing Troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment Become familiar with tools and applications utilized by department Learn department and corporate policies, procedures and plans Complete assigned tasks in a timely and positive fashion Maintain time accounting log Other duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications:
Technical Associate's Degree or 4 years of comparable business experience in increasingly responsible positions in the related discipline All levels of previous job-related experience will be considered. Experience in a team environment Experience with problem tracking tools Training and certification in Microsoft and networking products preferred Basic knowledge of the use of electrical test equipment (i.e. voltmeter, scope, amp meter) Basic knowledge of the use of mechanical test equipment (i.e. dial calipers, height gage, feeler gage) Computer software skills: MS Office, Word, Excel, Access, Viso, Labview or other programming languages Digital and analog electronics Reading of drawings, schematics, and circuitry Excellent electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills Organizational skills Strong attention to detail Demonstrate basics written/verbal skills Ability to follow directions and project plans Ability to maintain individual task lists, and logs individual time in approved timekeeping programSimilar remote jobs
