Job Description

Are you a detail-oriented problem solver with a knack for machinery? We are looking for a dedicated Automation Technician to join our Engineering team. In this role, you will be a crucial link in our manufacturing process, responsible for monitoring equipment, adjusting machine parameters, and ensuring the highest quality standards in our production environment.
Key Responsibilities Process Monitoring:
Perform daily process parameter verifications on casting machines and handle daily checks for various processes.
Troubleshooting:
Identify, track, and correct shot problems and X-ray void issues.
Quality Control:
Evaluate castings for defects or coating issues and train operators on corrective measures.
Maintenance Support:
Work closely with the maintenance team to correct machine issues and identify water flow corrections.
Engineering Support:
Assist with sample/PPAP runs and support Engineering trials through setup, data collection, and execution.
Safety & Compliance:
Maintain department 5S requirements and strictly comply with OSHA Safety Standards, including Lockout/Tagout and PPE requirements.
Academic & Experience Requirements Experience:
3+ years of applicable experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Technical Expertise:
Proven experience troubleshooting mechanical and electrical equipment issues.
Tools:
Proficient in using hand tools and precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, and height gages.
Documentation:
Ability to read prints, follow quality procedures, and complete detailed documentation.
Software:
Proficient in MS Office Suite with basic computer skills. Required Skills Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for collaborating across all levels of management. Self-starter with the initiative to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple concurrent projects.
Working Conditions & Physical Demands Environment:
Exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, and moderate to loud noise levels.
Physical Tasks:
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand, walk, kneel, and climb stairs/ladders.
Schedule:
