Job Summary The Senior Electrical Engineer will be responsible for executing projects at a high level by leading comprehensive system design initiatives while mentoring and directing junior Engineers through complex design challenges and technical problem-solving that drive efficient project completion and professional development. This position offers exposure to diverse design challenges, cutting-edge technologies, and complex engineering systems, with the expectation to be a senior technical leadership role focused on design innovation, team mentorship, and developing the next generation of engineering talent. Responsibilities The Senior Electrical Engineer will be a key member of the Engineering team with the responsibilities of architecting and designing various industrial control and automation systems including drive systems, control panels, PLC and Robotics programming, system integration, and power distribution. They will provide technical leadership and project oversight for heavy industry applications. The position requires hands-on design leadership and field engineering support to work both independently and within a team to guide and develop Coalmont Engineers and technicians through advanced design methodologies, technical troubleshooting, and engineering best practices based on sound design principles, customer specifications, and project requirements. A critical aspect of this role involves selecting and specifying the most suitable components and equipment to optimize project performance, reliability, and cost effectiveness while ensuring seamless system integration. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited institution Self-starter with attention to detail and a strong motivation to complete projects on schedule Proven leadership abilities and is willing to contribute as needed to the benefit of the team 7+ years relevant experience Creative problem solver with a customer-based perspective Industrial machinery and automation process experience: Experience with the design, troubleshooting, and respective code requirements of various industrial control and safety systems Electrical control panel design and layout: Understanding proper control panel design, product selection, SCCR calculations, testing and installation practices Communication protocols and instrumentation networks: Understanding of various industrial Ethernet/IP and Profinet network designs and respective product selection AC and/or
DC Drives and Motors:
Experience with the installation, tuning, commissioning, and troubleshooting of various drive systems. Can demonstrate an understanding of drive design, control algorithms and regulators
Low and Medium Voltage Power Systems:
Can demonstrate an understanding of 3-phase power systems, transformers, protection and
NEC/NFPA
code principles Knowledge of various schematic, modeling and controls programming software:

AutoCAD Electrical Power Modeling:
ETAP, EZPower, SKM Programming:
