Additional Skills & Qualifications Data center project experience, particularly in mission-critical environments, is highly preferred. background in hospital construction, aviation projects, or other large, complex facilities is beneficial. PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent project management certification is preferred. Other relevant certifications in electrical, mechanical, or construction management disciplines are an advantage. Experience in MEP-focused superintendent roles within commercial construction environments. Familiarity with low-voltage scopes, controls, and systems integration is helpful for mission-critical facilities. Interest in long-term career growth into senior superintendent, project management, or mission-critical specialist roles. Work Environment The role supports mission-critical facilities, with a primary focus on large-scale data center projects of approximately $1B in value. Work takes place within a services-focused division dedicated to facility operations, maintenance, lifecycle upgrades, and fast-paced technical projects rather than new ground-up construction. The environment emphasizes ongoing improvements, system upgrades, and low-voltage scopes that keep critical environments running reliably. Superintendents work in smaller, agile project teams that offer significant autonomy and hands-on decision-making, while collaborating closely with operations and client stakeholders. The position provides steady, long-term work with repeat clients, particularly in data centers and federal facilities, and offers clear growth paths into senior superintendent, project management, or mission-critical specialist roles. The work setting blends construction and operations, with frequent exposure to highly technical systems such as low voltage, security, fiber, networking, and building management systems (BMS). Travel may be required, and per diem and travel expenses are available for qualifying assignments. The role typically starts on a contract basis, with the potential to transition to a long-term or permanent position based on performance and project needs.
