job summary: Global manufacturing company is seeking a Sr Controls Engineer to join their engineering team in Arkansas. This position is responsible for designing, programming, simulating, and testing automated machinery and production equipment to optimize efficiency, safety, and reliability. Qualified candidates will have 5+ years of PLC troubleshooting and programming experience in manufacturing or heavy industry. Relocation provided to qualified candidates.
location:
NEWPORT, Arkansas job type: Permanent salary: $100,000 - 135,000 per year work hours: 8am to 4pm education: Bachelors responsibilities: Provide support for industrial control systems, including PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, and industrial communication networks.

Develop, implement, and optimize PM programs for critical electrical assets, including motors, drives, transformers, switchgear, PLCs, and instrumentation.

Propose and implement engineering solutions to improve equipment reliability, reduce maintenance costs, enhance energy efficiency, and extend asset lifespan.

Provide electrical engineering expertise for capital projects, including design review, equipment specification, installation oversight, and commissioning.

Work closely with Production, Mechanical Maintenance, Process Engineering, and Automation teams to resolve issues and improve overall plant performance.

Ensure all electrical work complies with National Electrical Code (NEC), NFPA 70E, OSHA regulations, and company safety procedures. The essential functions of this role include:wearing steel toe shoes qualifications: Experience level: ExperiencedMinimum 5 years of experience
