We specialize in high-quality design-build electrical work, UL508A panel fabrication, automation, and long-term service partnerships. Our reputation is built on craftsmanship, integrity, and delivering practical solutions in demanding environments like food processing, water/wastewater, and industrial facilities. Job Summary Grossi Electric Inc. is seeking a skilled and motivated Automation Controls Engineer with 2 - 3 years of experience in designing, programming, and implementing PLC-based automation systems. This role supports industrial, manufacturing, and utility clients with both in-house programming and field integration. The ideal candidate is organized, technically strong, and excited to solve real-world control system challenges. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and implement
PLC/HMI/SCADA
systems from concept to deployment Program, install, troubleshoot, and maintain automated machinery and control panels Diagnose and repair faults in electrical, mechanical, and software control systems Perform site inspections, system commissioning, and preventive maintenance Collaborate with internal teams, field electricians, and project managers to deliver reliable system performance Generate clear documentation for operators, maintenance staff, and future support Accurately maintain code versions, project logs, and service records Technical Skills Proficient with Rockwell Automation software: RSLogix 500, Studio 5000, RSLogix 5000 Experienced with Allen-Bradley hardware (PLC-5, SLC, MicroLogix, CompactLogix, ControlLogix) Skilled with
HMI/SCADA
platforms such as Ignition and Wonderware Understanding of PLC architecture, I/O systems, and industrial protocols (EtherNet/IP, Modbus, etc.) Familiarity with Siemens PLCs (a plus) Working knowledge of Python or other high-level scripting languages Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for control layout and documentation Ability to interpret and create process control documents and wiring diagrams Qualifications & Requirements 2-3 years minimum experience in industrial automation or controls engineering Strong analytical skills and process troubleshooting ability Excellent written and verbal communication Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Project) Ability to work independently or within a team on fast-paced, deadline-driven projects Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail Comfortable working around high-voltage systems and industrial equipment Field service experience and willingness to travel to customer job sites (local and regional) Professional, customer-focused, and safety-minded attitude Preferred Qualifications Hands-on industrial electrical experience Background in food processing, water/wastewater, utilities, or manufacturing environments
Pay & Benefits Pay:
$32.00 - $48.00 per hour (based on experience and skill level)
Expected Hours:
40 per week plus overtime
