Job Description

Overview We are seeking dynamic and innovative Electrical Engineers specialized in EV charger development to join our cutting-edge team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and optimizing electrical systems for a variety of charging solutions. Your expertise will drive advancements in power management, system integration, and product reliability, ensuring our chargers meet the highest standards of performance and safety. Rancho Cucamonga, CA; Hesperia, CA; Alvin CA (with travel to project sites as needed)
Type:
Full-time Duties Design and develop electrical systems for EV chargers, including power conversion, signal processing, and control circuitry using tools like AutoCAD, Revit, and SolidWorks Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate FPGA (Field-Programmable Gate Array) and SoC (System on Chip) components into system designs for enhanced performance Create detailed schematics and PCB layouts to support manufacturing and assembly processes Conduct root cause analysis on electrical failures or performance issues using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and vision inspection systems Develop firmware and embedded software using C++, Python, Perl, and scripting languages to optimize system operation and functionality Perform system testing and debugging of electrical systems, firmware, and hardware prototypes to ensure compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards Utilize simulation tools like MATLAB, Simulink, and SystemVerilog for modeling signal processing algorithms and digital logic design Support manufacturing processes by applying surface mount technology (SMT), soldering techniques, and mechanical knowledge for assembly quality assurance Engage in project scheduling to meet development milestones while maintaining high standards of quality and safety Skills Proficiency in FPGA programming, SystemVerilog, and programmable logic controllers for advanced digital design Strong experience with PCB design, schematics creation, and CAD tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, Revit, or SolidWorks Expertise in electrical systems design including power management, surface mount technology (SMT), and electrical safety standards like NEC Knowledge of system design principles involving ARM processors, microcontrollers like Arduino, and firmware development in C++ or Python Ability to perform root cause analysis on complex electrical issues using diagnostic equipment such as ohmmeters or vision inspection systems Familiarity with manufacturing processes including surface mount technology (SMT), soldering techniques, and mechanical assembly practices Experience with signal processing algorithms, system modeling in MATLAB/Simulink, and electronic schematics creation Mechanical engineering knowledge relevant to product enclosure design using Revit or MicroStation software tools Strong debugging skills across hardware and firmware components to ensure robust system performance Understanding of electrical codes (NEC) compliance requirements for safe product development Join us to be at the forefront of innovative EV charger solutions!
