Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to lead complex technical programs involving advanced semiconductor test systems. This role is ideal for a hands-on, technically strong program leader who can operate across multiple engineering disciplines, manage shifting priorities, and drive projects from concept through production release. The ideal candidate will have experience working with cross-functional engineering teams, customers, vendors, and manufacturing partners to deliver high-performance semiconductor test solutions. This individual should be highly organized, technically credible, customer-facing, and capable of leading complex programs involving electrical, mechanical, thermal, software, automation, and systems engineering. Key Responsibilities Lead the architecture, design, development, validation, and release of complex semiconductor test systems, including system components, subassemblies, and production-ready solutions. Translate customer and product requirements into clear technical objectives, project plans, timelines, deliverables, budgets, success criteria, and execution strategies. Coordinate cross-functional engineering teams across thermal, mechanical, electrical, software, systems, and manufacturing disciplines to drive program execution, technical reviews, and customer communication. Identify risks, resolve technical issues, analyze test and reliability data, drive root cause analysis, implement corrective actions, and support compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Support technical proposals, supplier evaluations, statements of work, process improvements, documentation, DFM/DFT initiatives, and new business development efforts. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline. Master's degree preferred. 5+ years of experience in the design, test, validation, or development of semiconductor devices, modules, semiconductor test equipment, or related complex electromechanical systems. Strong understanding of semiconductor test workflows, product validation, production testing, reliability testing, device thermal characterization, and burn-in processes. Experience working directly with customers, vendors, engineering teams, and manufacturing teams. Strong technical program management skills, including planning, scheduling, risk management, budgeting, issue tracking, and cross-functional coordination. Ability to understand and manage complex electromechanical systems involving hardware, software, thermal, mechanical, and electrical components. Preferred Qualifications Experience developing semiconductor production testers, ATE systems, characterization testers, or system-level test platforms. Knowledge of instrumentation devices and experience integrating instrumentation into larger automated test systems. Experience with robotic systems, mechanical handlers, or automated equipment used to test semiconductor devices or modules. Experience with high-speed board design, signal integrity analysis, or related electrical design considerations. Experience with statistical analysis methods used in engineering validation, reliability testing, and production environments. Knowledge of DFM, DFT, NPI, HVM, production release processes, and manufacturing cost optimization. Work Location This is an on-site role based in Lake Forest, CA .
