Test/ Integration Electrical Engineer Job Description:
Responsible for leading the integration, verification, validation, and deployment of complex electronic test systems used for semiconductor device and module characterization, qualification, and production testing. Works closely with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure seamless hardware, software, and firmware integration while validating system performance against product and manufacturing requirements. The role involves troubleshooting complex system-level issues, executing verification and validation plans, supporting pilot builds and production ramp activities, and ensuring robust test coverage across board-level and system-level products.
Responsibilities include:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical, firmware, software, mechanical, and manufacturing, to develop and implement creative, cost-effective test, integration, and validation solutions for new products. Lead hardware, software, and firmware integration activities for board-level and system-level products, ensuring proper functionality and performance throughout the product lifecycle. Interface closely with Design Engineering and Manufacturing to ensure pilot builds, qualification units, and production releases meet technical requirements, quality goals, and schedule commitments. Ensures that technical reviews occur in accordance with company processes Investigates emerging production test/ integration technologies and develops concepts for future products. Develops complex specifications, statements of work, metrics, schedules and budgets. Technically manages key suppliers that are critical to project success. This includes assisting in source selection, participating in supplier design reviews, etc. All other duties as required.

BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related engineering discipline. 7+ years of experience working as a team member in a multi-disciplinary team consisting of firmware, software, mechanical and electrical engineers. 7+ years of experience in general circuit design, test engineering, system integration, verification, and validation. Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills involving mixed-signal electronics, embedded systems, instrumentation, and automated test environments. Hands-on experience developing and executing verification and validation plans, test procedures, and acceptance criteria for electronic products. Knowledge of instrumentation devices, and expertise in using / integrating instrumentation equipment into larger test systems. Knowledge of software / firmware and mechanical engineering as it relates to the development of electronic test systems. Experience with robotics, mechatronics and/or handlers is a plus Prior experience in developing semiconductor production testers (ATEs) or characterization testers or system level testers is a huge plus Experience capturing customer's technical requirements into technical specifications and statements of work is a plus. Must be onsite in Lake Forest, CA
