Job Description
The Opportunity We are looking for a high-caliber Electrical Design Engineer II to lead engineering analysis and system design for large-scale, multi-family new construction projects across California. This is an opportunity to join one of the state's premier MEP contractors, managing a high-volume portfolio of mixed-use and residential developments. You will act as a key technical contributor from concept through construction documentation, ensuring every project meets the rigorous safety and efficiency standards California is known for.
What You'll Do Technical Leadership:
Lead the design of electrical building systems, including power distribution, lighting, and fire alarm systems for complex multi-family projects.BIM Coordination:
Utilize AutoCAD and Revit MEP to develop comprehensive construction documents and manage BIM 360/Autodesk Construction Cloud workflows.Engineering Analytics:
Perform and review critical calculations for load analysis, short-circuit studies, and voltage drops.Code Mastery:
Ensure all designs remain compliant with the NEC, California Electrical Code, and Title 24 Part 6 energy requirements.Sustainability:
Integrate LEED and CALGreen principles into engineering solutions to drive energy efficiency.What You Bring Education:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering (ABET-accredited).Experience:
3-6 years of relevant electrical design experience, specifically within multi-family or mixed-use residential projects.Credentials:
Active EIT Certification is required ; active pursuit of a PE license is highly preferred.Software:
Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit MEP . Experience with Navisworks, Bluebeam, and SKM/AGi32 is a major plus.Communication:
