Job Description

Description This position is contingent upon contract award Overview The Electrical Systems Subject Matter Expert (SME) supports Commander, Naval Surface Forces, Pacific Fleet (CNSP) as part of the Readiness Assistance Training Team (RATT) . The RATT provides direct, Sailor-centric training and technical assistance to surface ships to improve technical proficiency, material condition, organic repair capability, and overall readiness. The Electrical Systems SME provides expert-level technical guidance and hands-on support for shipboard electrical equipment and distribution systems. Working directly with shipboard personnel, the SME supports electrical system operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting while reinforcing Navy electrical safety requirements and helping improve overall material and operational readiness. Location San Diego, CA, with extensive travel in support of shipboard RATT visits throughout CONUS and OCONUS locations. Requirements Required Qualifications Minimum 15 years of experience with the operation and maintenance of electrical systems aboard warships or military auxiliaries Comprehensive knowledge of ungrounded 450-volt, three-phase alternating current (AC) equipment and distribution systems Familiarity with ungrounded 4,160-volt, three-phase AC equipment and distribution systems Direct operational and maintenance experience within the last five years with electrical equipment and distribution systems currently employed by the U.S. Navy Direct experience applying standard formal electrical troubleshooting procedures and practices Comprehensive understanding of electrical safety procedures and material requirements in accordance with current U.S. Navy guidance Ability and willingness to support extensive CONUS and OCONUS travel for shipboard RATT visits Security Clearance Must possess and maintain a SECRET clearance If you meet these qualifications and are ready to make an impact, we encourage you to apply today!
