Are you seeking a role with an already well-established, high-growth NewSpace startup? . Impulse Space is a $4.3-billion valuation NewSpace startup founded by Spacex's first employee & former CTO of Propulsion Tom Mueller. Impulse are expanding their avionics team following the award of a major new spacecraft program and is looking for Electrical Engineers to help develop the hardware behind a brand new autonomous spacecraft. Whether your specialism is digital, analog or power electronics , Impulse is interested in Responsible Engineers who have taken real PCB-level hardware through 2+ development lifecycles. Most importantly, you won't simply design something and throw it over the wall. You will take ownership of your hardware from detailed design and schematic capture through build, bring-up, troubleshooting, testing and integration - working closely with the wider spacecraft team to understand how your design performs within the complete system. As an Electrical Engineer at Impulse Space, you will: Own PCB-level electrical designs from schematic capture through bring-up, test and integration Develop hardware across digital, analog and/or power electronics depending on your strengths Translate system-level architectures and block diagrams into detailed, working circuit designs Design hardware involving microcontrollers, Ethernet/RS-422 and peripheral interfaces, power distribution and regulation, telemetry, ADCs, op-amp circuitry, motor/valve drivers and related electronics Troubleshoot your own hardware in the lab and drive problems through to resolution Work directly with multidisciplinary spacecraft teams rather than operating within an isolated design function Why Impulse Space? This is an opportunity to join at the beginning of a new spacecraft program rather than inherit a mature product. The hardware you develop will contribute directly to the initial vehicle design, and as the program and Impulse continue to grow, there is a genuine opportunity for strong engineers to expand with it — taking ownership of larger pieces of hardware, becoming the technical authority for their area and progressing into broader technical leadership. If you are currently designing electronics but want more ownership, more visibility and a much closer connection between your work and the finished vehicle , apply today!
