Job Description
Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and integrate power distribution systems, embedded electronics, motor controllers, and safety-critical circuitry for complex electromechanical systems Lead PCB design and layout activities, including SoCs, microcontrollers, sensors, and power devices using Cadence OrCAD/Allegro or equivalent tools; support board bring-up and validation Define and implement high-speed communication and electrical interfaces such as CAN, EtherCAT, USB, and similar protocols for reliable system performance Design custom power electronics, power distribution systems, battery packs, and battery management systems to meet performance, thermal, and safety requirements Develop and troubleshoot wire harness architectures to minimize EMI and signal integrity concerns Architect and integrate battery systems, including protection circuitry, charging systems, thermal management, and safety features Define wiring and electrical interfaces for sensors, compute modules, and peripheral devices Support prototyping, hardware bring-up, testing, and development of validation fixtures and test systems Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field 6-10 years of experience designing and integrating electrical systems for complex electromechanical or embedded platforms Proficiency in PCB schematic capture and layout using Cadence OrCAD/Allegro or similar ECAD tools Experience with embedded controls, microcontrollers, high-speed signaling, digital design, memory buses, and power electronics Strong understanding of signal integrity, power integrity, and electrical compliance/testing standards Hands-on experience with hardware validation and debugging tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and related lab equipment Preferred Qualifications Experience working with multi-axis or highly integrated electromechanical systems Familiarity with high-speed communication protocols such as CAN, EtherCAT, USB, or similar interfaces Exposure to embedded software or firmware development using C/C++, Python, Verilog, or related languages Knowledge of thermal management and safety considerations in high-power electrical systems Experience supporting design for manufacturability (DFM), design for assembly (DFA), and production scaling initiatives Familiarity with mechanical CAD tools such as SolidWorks for cross-functional integration work
