We are helping our client find an Electrical Engineer to support the design, assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of electronic and electromechanical systems in a hands-on hardware development lab. In this role, you'll design and build electrical systems, integrate components, and support the development of functional hardware through an iterative process of design, component sourcing, assembly, testing, and refinement. Your builds, demonstrations, and technical work will also contribute to training AI systems to better understand hands-on physical tasks. The ideal candidate brings practical electrical engineering experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and a hands-on approach to building and improving complex hardware systems. Key Responsibilities As an Electrical Engineer, you'll: Design, build, and bring up electronic systems, including power distribution, DC-DC conversion, and wiring for motors, sensors, cameras, and computing hardware. Build and modify electrical wiring harnesses, including crimping, soldering, connector installation, and strain relief. Lead electrical bring-up of new circuit boards and subsystems, performing pre-power checks and collaborating with the hardware team to ensure proper functionality. Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults, documenting failures, root causes, and corrective actions. Use multimeters, oscilloscopes, bench power supplies, soldering stations, crimpers, and harnessing tools to support electrical assembly, testing, and troubleshooting. Review written and on-screen work instructions, identify inaccuracies, and provide feedback to improve technical documentation. Required Qualifications 2+ years of hands-on electrical engineering experience, preferably at hardware startups or working with electromechanical systems, drones, or hobbyist hardware. Experience with electromechanical system integration and circuit board bring-up. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and component datasheets. Proficiency in using electrical testing and assembly equipment, including: Multimeters Oscilloscopes Bench power supplies Soldering stations Crimping tools Wiring harness assembly tools
