Principal Electrical Engineer Job Description We are seeking a skilled Embedded Systems Hardware Engineer with strong digital design capabilities and foundational analog experience. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in embedded system development, schematic and PCB design, and system-level troubleshooting. This role focuses on hardware and low-level embedded development. Responsibilities + Engage in digital design and embedded system development. + Perform schematic and PCB design, ensuring functionality and efficiency. + Conduct system-level troubleshooting down to the component level. + Utilize schematic design tools and instruments such as logic analyzers and oscilloscopes. + Run design reviews and produce concepts to prototypes. + Test board functionality and ensure communication and interface operations are working. + Build upon previous designs depending on years of experience. + Participate in low-level embedded development and embedded C programming. Essential Skills + Proficiency in digital design and embedded system work. + Experience in PCB design and schematic design tools. + Ability to troubleshoot systems down to the component level. + Familiarity with logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, and Altium Designer. + Experience in running design reviews and producing concepts to prototypes. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in the medical device industry is a plus but not required. Work Environment The work environment is on-site in Santa Clara, with a flexible start time based on business needs between 7am and 9am. The shift is 8 hours per day from Monday to Friday, in a state-of-the-art facility, contributing to innovative electronic product development. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Santa Clara, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $75.00 - $90.00/hr.
