This facility serves as our primary engineering, manufacturing, testing, and integration center, where teams design and develop rugged servo drives, embedded motor control systems, actuators, sensors, batteries, and advanced motion control technologies for extreme environments.
We support mission critical programs across space exploration, aerospace, defense, military systems, robotics, aviation, industrial automation, automotive, and agricultural technology markets. At the Simi Valley location, engineers lead the development of next generation embedded hardware platforms powering orbital, lunar, and high performance aerospace applications.
The Principal Electrical Engineer will lead architecture, design, integration, and technical direction for advanced embedded hardware systems supporting mission critical aerospace, defense, and space programs.
What You Will Be DoingLead hardware design by developing, analyzing, and integrating microcontroller based analog and digital electronics for motion control and power conversionGuide system integration by directing board layout, packaging, test stand development, and full hardware integration activitiesDrive corrective actions by performing root cause investigations and implementing improvements across hardware programsCollaborate with customers to define requirements, assess feasibility, and align system level expectationsMentor engineering staff by leading design reviews, supporting troubleshooting efforts, and overseeing hardware releases and upgradesWhat You Need for This PositionStrong embedded hardware background with extensive experience designing complex electronic systems and microcontroller based hardwareDeep circuit design knowledge including analog and digital circuits, A/D and D/A converters, power electronics, and motor control systemsProficiency with engineering tools such as ORCAD, PSpice, FPGA integration workflows, digital filters, DSP, and high speed signal processingAbility to lead full lifecycle development from concept and requirements through qualification, release, and customer interactionAdditional preferred skills including embedded
C/C++, TCP/IP
