Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented, experienced and motivated Electrical Engineer to join our Engineering team. You will be working closely with various teams throughout all phases of product development and testing for multiple key aerospace programs. In this role, you will be responsible for circuit design, analysis, board layout, hardware debugging, and testing. The main products will be Ground Based Stations and Battery Management Systems and related test equipment. May manage large projects or processes that are both inside and outside of the immediate job area.
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate and select electrical and electronic components based on technical specifications and project requirements. Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Schematic Design, Layout, and Troubleshooting. Responsible for cable harness design. Work closely with disciplines such as systems, mechanical design, supply chain, to ensure PCB can be built and meets requirements. Provide Analysis for Power/Signal Integrity, Mixed Signal, ADCs and DACs. Develop Bills of Materials (BOMs) and Part Lists for accuracy and compliance. Work with Digital/FPGA team to implement proper floor planning. Interface with component databases, manufacturers, and distributors for sourcing and obsolescence data. Use ERP systems (preferably Deltek Costpoint ) to manage part data and component procurement. Participate in Electrical/ Electronic/ Electromechanical (EEE) Parts Engineering technical assignments related to hardware manufacturing and testing. Assignments will include technical evaluation and support of manufacturing issues/concernsl Support engineering change orders (ECOs) and related documentation updates. Ensure all selected components comply with regulatory standards (RoHS, ITAR, etc.). Communication Communicates within and outside of own function or business area and has responsibility for communicating with parties external to the organization (e.g., customers, vendors, etc.) when necessary. Explains, interprets, and gains cooperation on policies, procedures and practices. Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Electronics Engineering Technology, or related technical discipline with 2+ years of experience in a Electrical engineering or electronics product support role, or Graduate Degree and a minimum of 0-2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience. Strong working knowledge of electrical components, including passive, active, and electromechanical parts, High Voltage parts. Experience with Altium/Cadence/MentorGraphics
•Altium experience preferred, AutoCAD experience preferred. Knowledge of FPGAs (VHDL/Verilog) and Power Regulation (Switching Regulators/Decoupling Capacitors) Experience working with Vendors on the Manufacturing of PCBs Demonstrated experience in BOM and part list management. Proficiency in using ERP/MRP systems — Costpoint experience preferred . Solid understanding of aerospace or defense industry standards and reliability practices. The ability to obtain and maintain a future Security Clearance is required for the role. Eligibility requires U.S. citizenship. In-Office Work Required. May require up to 10% travel.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting government or defense programs. Battery Management Experience. Experience with Power Integrity Analysis Tools and Signal Integrity Analysis Tools. Knowledge of
ITAR/EAR
compliance regulations. Experience with ADCs/DACs. Familiarity with PLM tools (e.g., Arena, Windchill, Agile). Experience with cable harness design. •$146,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as the final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
