Full Job Description Description:
Novate Solutions, Inc . is a process control engineering firm that provides engineering and managed services to a wide range of industrial clients. With offices in Livermore, West Sacramento, and Merced, CA. We are seeking an Associate Engineer l - Electrical , to join our team in West Sacramento, CA. This is an entry-level position that works under direct supervision and provides support for engineering projects and deliverables. The Associate Engineer l - Electrical will assist in the design, creation, maintenance, and revision of control diagrams, electrical ladder diagrams, panel evaluation drawings, process and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), network diagrams and electrical one-line diagrams. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and able to maintain a high level of professionalism while working in a fast-paced environment and under tight deadlines. This role also plays an important part in supporting team members and collaborating across projects to help achieve company objectives and strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Performs routine or entry-level engineering tasks. Contributes to the development of engineering plans and designs. Investigates and analyzes new materials, equipment, and engineering practices. Prepares engineering calculations, estimates, statistics, and minor designs. Assist with sourcing parts for BOM. Analyzes quotes and bids to assist senior engineer. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
0-1 year of experience as an Electrical Engineer. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to work with diverse personalities. The ability to work effectively as part of a team. Excellent organization and time management skills. Ability to accurately type 35+ WPM. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software such as AutoCAD Electrical experience. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to meet deadlines. Ability to travel when necessary.
Competencies:
Effective communication. Self-starter and highly motivated to learn. Critical thinking skills.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited program or equivalent combination of education and industry experience. 0-1 year of engineering experience from either an internship or job-related experience.
License/Certifications:
US Citizen. Valid CA driver's license.
Physical Demands:
The ability to lift up to 50 pounds with frequent standing, sitting for long periods of time, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching and crawling into confined spaces.
Travel Requirements:
Ability to travel locally or out of the area when necessary. Travel about 25% of the time.
Work Authorization/Security Clearance:
