Summary:
This engineer will support the design, maintenance, verification, and integration of mixed-signal electrical systems and circuit boards used in regulated medical devices. The work spans circuit architecture, schematic capture, component selection, PCB layout, technical specifications, lab debugging, reliability, and standards-based testing while providing technical leadership to junior engineers. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with at least 4 years of relevant experience, or a master's degree with at least 2 years of relevant experience; candidates with 5+ years are strongly preferred for the lead-level scope. End-to-end mixed-signal board design experience, including architecture, circuit design, schematic capture, component selection, PCB layout, design verification, and strong signal/circuit analysis fundamentals. Medical device or similarly regulated product experience, including
IEC 60601-1
electrical safety testing and hands-on use of OrCAD plus common lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, DMMs, and logic or network analyzers. Responsibilities Develop and maintain specifications, schematics, PCB layouts, verification plans, and test hardware for mixed-signal electrical systems used in safety-critical products. Lead system integration, debugging, reliability analysis, component-obsolescence replacement, regulatory impact assessment, and standards-based verification activities. Support technical planning, risk mitigation, complaint-trend investigation, design improvements, and mentoring of junior engineers in a cross-functional agile environment. Important Notes This is a full-time, Monday-through-Friday contract assignment based in Lafayette, Colorado. The position supports regulated medical and surgical device product lines. The work requires hands-on collaboration with electrical hardware, lab equipment, and cross-functional engineering teams.
