Englewood, CO Duration:
7 Months+ (Contract)
Pay Rate:
$40.00/hr
Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week

Health Benefits, 401k matching, 10 days accrued PTO Role Overview Our client is seeking a talented Electrical Engineer II to join a premier Aerospace and Defense team in Englewood, CO. In this role, you will be part of a direct-funded effort focused on Airborne C3 (Command, Control, and Communications). You will research, design, develop, and test cutting-edge electronic systems ranging from analog/digital circuit card assemblies to fully integrated aircraft and orbital systems.
Primary Responsibilities Product Development:
Conceptualize and design new products and processes throughout the entire lifecycle.
Systems Integration:
Work on advanced mission payloads and electronic systems for highly integrated aircraft and space exploration platforms.
Modeling & Simulation:
Use Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) tools for circuit modeling, simulation, and functional/logical system analysis.
Collaboration:
Partner with multi-disciplinary design and development teams to ensure seamless integration and certification of hardware.
Requirements & Skills Must-Haves:
Education:
Bachelor's of Science in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
Experience:
Typically 2+ years of relevant engineering experience.
Technical Proficiency:
Strong knowledge of engineering principles and hands-on experience with CAE tools (AutoCAD, Zuken, or similar).
Drafting:
Solid understanding of drafting, design, and schematic capture.
Preferred Qualifications:
Industry Background:
Experience within the Aerospace and Defense sector.
Specialized Analysis:
Familiarity with Electrical Load Analysis (ELA) and Model-Based Definition.
Environmental Design:
Knowledge of High-Intensity Radiated Fields (HIRF), Indirect Effects of Lightning (IEL), and Electro Magnetic Effects (EME/EMC/EMI).
Hardware Design:
Experience in digital or analog circuit design and a strong understanding of the printed circuit board (PCB) layout process.
Physical/Working Conditions Environment:
Primarily an office/lab setting with rare exposure to outdoor elements or loud noises.
Physical Demand:
Frequent sitting, standing, and walking; frequent repetitive hand/arm motions for technical design work. Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 lbs. #IND1
