Job Role:
Provide technical leadership and engineering support for electrical and instrumentation & control (I&C) systems to enhance plant reliability, efficiency, safety, and environmental compliance. Lead the development, planning, design, and execution of capital improvement and major maintenance projects from concept through commissioning. Support plant operations and maintenance teams by troubleshooting complex electrical and control system issues and implementing long-term reliability solutions. Develop technical specifications, scopes of work, cost estimates, bid packages, and evaluate contractor and vendor proposals for plant projects. Review and approve engineering designs, drawings, calculations, and modifications to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and company requirements. Conduct equipment assessments, failure analyses, feasibility studies, and economic evaluations to optimize plant performance and maintenance practices. Manage multidisciplinary project teams and coordinate activities between operations, maintenance, engineering consultants, contractors, and vendors. Oversee contractor engineering performance and ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with quality expectations. Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance engineering processes, operational practices, and asset reliability strategies. Maintain compliance with OSHA safety standards, environmental regulations, NERC requirements, and company compliance programs while promoting a strong safety culture. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program required. Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred. Minimum of 8 years of progressively responsible engineering experience in large-scale power generation facilities, preferably combined cycle plants. Strong knowledge of power plant electrical systems, I&C systems, project management, engineering design, troubleshooting, and applicable industry codes and standards. Experience with engineering specifications, budgeting, contractor management, and cross-functional project leadership preferred. #ENG1
