We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical/Electronics Engineer to design, develop, and validate advanced PCBAs for power electronics and hybrid systems applications. This role demands strong expertise in schematic capture, PCB layout using Altium Designer, and a deep understanding of power systems engineering. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with high-voltage, high-power designs and the ability to take projects from concept through production. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Lead the design and development of PCBAs for power electronics applications, including DC-DC converters, motor drives, and hybrid energy systems. Utilize Altium Designer to perform schematic capture, multi-layer PCB layout, and prepare complete manufacturing documentation. Conduct design simulations and analyses (SPICE, thermal, SI/PI) to ensure electrical, mechanical, and thermal integrity. Optimize designs for thermal management, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), and manufacturability (DFM). Perform hands-on prototype bring-up, testing, validation, and troubleshooting of developed hardware. Collaborate closely with firmware, mechanical, and systems engineering teams to deliver fully integrated solutions. Author clear documentation for designs, test procedures, and compliance certifications Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field. 8+ years of professional experience designing and testing PCBAs for power electronics applications. 5+ years of experience with Altium Designer for schematic capture and complex multi-layer PCB layouts. Strong working knowledge of power electronics principles, including switching converters, motor drives, battery management, and hybrid energy systems. Experience with design for manufacturability (DFM), and familiarity with fabrication and assembly processes. Knowledge of relevant standards such as IPC, UL, CE, and best practices for compliance and testing. Excellent problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications Direct experience designing for high-voltage (>400VDC) or high-power (>5kW) applications. Expertise with thermal design techniques and EMI/EMC mitigation strategies. Familiarity with firmware and embedded systems development for hardware validation (even at the troubleshooting level). Experience with system-level integration involving power management and control architectures.
