Full-Time About Us Statewide Electrical Contractors Inc. is a leading electrical contractor specializing in large-scale multifamily and high-rise construction projects. We are focused on delivering high-quality, cost-effective electrical systems through smart design, efficient execution, and strong collaboration between field and office teams. Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to work in-house alongside our Head Superintendent and project teams. This role is critical in reviewing construction drawings, identifying opportunities to reduce overdesign, and implementing value engineering solutions that meet code requirements while improving cost efficiency. This is a highly collaborative, hands-on role ideal for someone who understands both engineering design and real-world construction practices. Key Responsibilities Review electrical plans and specifications for multifamily and high-rise projects Identify areas of overdesign and recommend cost-effective alternatives Ensure all designs comply with NEC, local codes, and project requirements Collaborate closely with the Head Superintendent and field teams to align design with installation realities Provide value engineering solutions to optimize material, labor, and system efficiency Assist with redesigns and revisions as needed during preconstruction and active projects Coordinate with project managers, estimators, and external design teams (If licensed) Sign and seal drawings when required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Minimum 5+ years of experience in electrical design, preferably in multifamily or commercial high-rise construction Strong knowledge of NEC and Florida building codes Experience reviewing and modifying construction drawings Practical understanding of electrical installation methods and contractor workflows Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred (or ability to obtain) Strong problem-solving and communication skills Preferred Experience Background working with or for an electrical contractor Experience with design-build or value engineering Familiarity with cost analysis and estimating impacts of design changes Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary based on experience ( $110,000 - $150,000+ ) Performance-based bonuses Opportunity to play a key role in high-impact, large-scale projects Collaborative, fast-paced work environment Health benefits and paid time off Why Join Us Direct impact on project profitability and efficiency Work closely with experienced field leadership Opportunity to shape how projects are designed and executed—not just review them Stable pipeline of large multifamily developments How to Apply Submit your resume and a brief summary of your experience with electrical design and construction coordination.
