As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you'll help design and deliver complex electrical systems for commercial, education, healthcare, industrial, and transportation projects throughout Florida. In this role, you'll apply your technical expertise to develop electrical designs, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and support successful project delivery for our clients. You'll work directly with clients, owners, and contractors to establish project requirements, develop innovative solutions, and produce high-quality construction documents that drive project success. What you'll do Design electrical systems for a variety of building and infrastructure projects Perform lighting design and associated controls calculations Prepare electrical load analyses throughout various stages of design Develop construction drawings and technical documentation Prepare basis of design reports Complete energy compliance calculations and supporting documentation Select electrical equipment and fixtures based on project requirements Coordinate designs with architects and multidisciplinary engineering teams Engage directly with clients, owners, and contractors to establish design requirements Support proposal, business development, and project delivery efforts as needed Contribute to the successful execution of projects from concept through construction What will help you succeed Strong communication and relationship-building skills Ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams Client-focused mindset with a commitment to service excellence Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities Ability to manage priorities across multiple projects and deadlines Attention to detail and commitment to quality Adaptability in a dynamic project environment Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Professional Engineer (PE) license in Florida Demonstrated professional design experience with electrical systems for vertical building projects in Florida Solid knowledge and application of
NFPA 70, NFPA 70E, NFPA 72, NFPA 101, NFPA
110, applicable building codes, energy codes, IEEE standards, ASHRAE standards, and related industry requirements Ideally, you'll also have Extensive experience performing short circuit coordination studies and arc flash analyses using SKM or EasyPower Working knowledge of MicroStation, AutoCAD, Revit, or BIM software Experience designing telecommunications systems, fire alarm systems, or security systems LI-KD1 Jacobs is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
