This position will support the design and engineering of low and medium voltage power distribution systems. The Electrical Design Engineer II will review customer applications, develop safe and effective engineering solutions, create bills of materials and drawings, and support projects through manufacturing.
Required Skills:
5+ years of experience in low (460 VAC 3 PH) and medium voltage (15 kV) engineering and design environment(s) Knowledgeable in industrial and commercial electrical industries' product/component offerings for power distribution systems (switchboards, panel boards, ATS, MTS, camlocks, wire, electrical enclosures) Experience selecting components from principle suppliers such as Schneider Electric, ASCO, Saginaw, etc. Proficiency in a 2D CAD software (AutoCAD) Bachelors Degree in
Electrical Engineering Additional Skills:
(not required) Proficiency in a 3D modeling software Experience applying UL508A and UL891 standards Knowledge of NFPA 70 and / or NEC requirements Experience designing power distribution panels and electrical circuits Experience creating 2D schematics and 3D layouts
Responsibilities:
Design electrical systems and circuits for low and medium voltage equipment Review project requirements and develop appropriate electrical solutions Complete electrical calculations and select components for each application Create schematics, layouts, drawings, and other engineering documentation Prepare engineering packages for production Work with manufacturing to resolve design and assembly questions Support larger projects from design through completion Assist with equipment testing and project documentation Provide technical support to sales when reviewing customer applications Support and mentor junior electrical engineers Travel to company locations as needed #
CLE Pay:
$90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
