The Impact You'll Make Lead the design and development of electrical systems for transportation infrastructure projects, with a strong focus on highway and bridge lighting, roadway electrical systems, and related transportation improvements. Review, develop, and oversee construction documents including plans, specifications, calculation reports, cost estimates, material quantity takeoffs, shop drawings, Requests for Information (RFIs), and responses to client comments. Perform and review lighting analyses, photometric studies, electrical load calculations, and power distribution designs to ensure compliance with applicable codes and transportation agency standards. Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and quality control oversight to junior engineering staff. Coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams, including roadway, bridge, traffic, and structural engineers, throughout project development and delivery. Support project managers with project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and client coordination activities. Assist with business development efforts, including proposal preparation, scope development, and technical presentations. Serve as a trusted technical resource for transportation electrical engineering projects across the organization. The Expertise You'll Bring Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution required. Professional Engineer (PE) license required; Florida PE or ability to obtain through reciprocity is highly desirable. 12+ years of progressive electrical engineering experience required Demonstrated experience with highway lighting, bridge lighting, roadway electrical systems, and transportation-related electrical design. FDOT experience strongly preferred. Proven ability to lead project tasks, mentor junior staff, and coordinate with clients and multidisciplinary design teams. This position can report to any of our Florida offices.
