Job Description
Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical & Controls Lead to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the design, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of complex electrical and control systems across industrial environments. Duties Lead the development, review, and interpretation of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and control system blueprints to ensure accurate implementation of electrical controls. Oversee the installation, calibration, testing, and maintenance of industrial automation equipment including Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), sensors, vision inspection systems, and distributed control systems (DCS). Troubleshoot complex electrical issues using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters, multimeters, and precision measuring instruments; perform root cause analysis to resolve equipment failures efficiently. Manage electrical safety procedures and ensure compliance with industry standards for high voltage and low voltage systems to maintain a safe working environment. Coordinate with mechanical teams on pneumatic systems, hydraulics, piping, instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), schematics, and electrical instrumentation to optimize system integration. Support programming in engineering environments such as Calypso or similar platforms; modify or develop control logic to improve process automation. Provide technical guidance on equipment troubleshooting, preventive maintenance strategies, and upgrades to enhance reliability and performance. Collaborate with customer service teams to address technical inquiries related to electrical systems and automation solutions. Qualifications Proven experience as an industrial electrician or in a similar electrical controls role within manufacturing or industrial settings. Strong knowledge of electrical diagnostics, troubleshooting techniques, and repair procedures for industrial equipment. Familiarity with reading electrical schematics, blueprints, P&IDs, schematics, and control system documentation. Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), sensors, vision inspection systems, calibration procedures, and industrial automation platforms. Understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems along with mechanical knowledge relevant to industrial maintenance. Ability to interpret electrical blueprints and wiring diagrams accurately; experience with high voltage and low voltage systems is essential. Skilled in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and other precision measuring instruments for troubleshooting purposes. Knowledge of electrical safety procedures aligned with industry standards; commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
