Job Description

To support the design, development, and maintenance of electrical systems and components used in Sukup product manufacturing. This position ensures the reliability, efficiency, and safety of electrical equipment and automation systems, contributing to continuous improvement in products. This role collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to implement innovative solutions that enhance product performance and manufacturing capabilities.
Essential Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science Technology or a related field required; equivalent relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree, Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with both employees and management required. A solid understanding of product design and manufacturing processes is essential, along with the ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop orders. Strong leadership qualities, a high level of accountability and professional demeanor are also expected. Experience with programming and control systems integration is preferred.
Preferred Skills:
Basic knowledge of O365, experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software as well as Product Data Management (PDM) software. Experience with
VB.NET, ASP.NET, C
#, C++, MSSQL, Access, Visual Studio, etc. also required.
Job Duties:
Develop and design electrical components and systems including individual controls for existing electrically driven equipment Integrate existing and future hardware designs in SCADA systems Improve, modify, and develop industrial control panel and/or circuit board designs Troubleshoot & resolve issues on electrical control systems Provide technical advice and information on dealer/customer installation and service of Sukup products Track project timelines to complete tasks on schedule Ensure reliable operation of manufactured products Adhere to all safety rules, procedures and practices Involvement in the quality assurance inspection and review; research and development projects and testing of Sukup products must be eligible Equal Opportunity Employer It is, and will continue to be, the policy of Sukup Manufacturing Co. to practice a program of equal employment designed to assure that all employment decisions and advancement opportunities are made available to all employees and applicants on the basis of individual qualifications and without unlawful regard to race, religion, veteran status, national origin, disability, age or sex.
