Job Description

We have an immediate opening for an Electronical Engineer. At Blue Wave Ultrasonics, the Electrical Engineer is responsible for handling all electrical design work, including the development of electrical schematics, programming of PLCs, printed circuit board design and creation of Engineering Bills of Material. They will work closely with Mechanical Engineering, Sales, Purchasing and Production to ensure Blue Wave is able to deliver quality equipment to our customers. Blue Wave designs and builds ultrasonic cleaning systems for industrial applications in markets such as aerospace, automotive, and medical devices to name a few. To learn more about us, visit www.bluewaveinc.com. We have a 60+ year history in the Quad City area manufacturing ultrasonic cleaning systems for companies worldwide. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Generate and maintain system schematics, panel layouts, item specifications, and engineering bills of materials Process Design Change Notices (DCN's) to document and communicate changes Ensure control panels comply with UL508a requirements Maintain UL508a MTR certification Work with Sales and Mechanical Engineering develop custom equipment proposals Manage the design of our circuit boards and work with board builders to address any component supply issues Reading and analyzing component and system schematics and prints Communicating with customers and vendors via phone and/or e-mail Interacting with and supporting Sales, Mechanical Engineering, Service and Production team
Minimum Requirements:
4 year degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience Printed Circuit Board design experience and ability to properly specify and diagnose board mounted components PLC programming experience, preferably AB and OMRON Ability to develop electrical schematics Knowledge of electrical control standards Willing to travel up to 15% Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to analyze and troubleshoot legacy systems Ability to operate soldering iron and electrical test equipment Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally Ability to function in an industrial manufacturing setting US Citizen Blue Wave Ultrasonics, Inc. is a subsidiary of Owner Revolution, Inc., an employee owned (ESOP) group of companies. Pay:
$75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
