Job Description As an EMI / Signal Integrity Qualification Engineer/Senior Engineer in Micron's Global Quality department, you will measure the electro-magnetic properties of Micron's DRAM or NAND products. You will also validate their signal integrity. This includes defining test methods and specifications, specifying and maintaining laboratory equipment, understanding and applying relevant automotive quality standards such as AEC Q100, and ensuring on-time execution of measurements and data analysis. You will provide functional guidance to laboratory technicians to ensure accurate, timely data collection. You will also collaborate with Technology Development, Product Engineering, and QRA teams to resolve failing/marginal test results, and to ensure that test methods meet company, automotive, and customer needs. You will also be expected to drive continual improvement, both for efficiency and effectiveness, including using AI tools to improve data analysis, documentation, workflow efficiency, and engineering decision support. You will have the opportunity to contribute to innovation at Micron by developing new test methods to keep pace with Micron's rapidly changing products, solving problems to enable new product introduction, publishing technical papers internally and externally, and sharing knowledge with engineering peers. Responsibilities & Tasks- Lead RF package component and SSD qualification testing, including measurement execution, data analysis, and reporting.
- Develop, validate, and maintain EMI and Signal Integrity test methods, specifications, and procedures.
- Apply automotive quality standards, including
AEC-Q100
requirements, to qualification testing and documentation.- Design, develop, and maintain laboratory software tools to support testing, automation, and data analysis.
- Design, maintain, and enhance test hardware and laboratory infrastructure to ensure reliable measurements.
- Partner with internal and external customers to address technical requirements and communicate test results.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on test processes, equipment efficiency, and overall quality.
- Leverage AI-enabled tools to improve engineering workflows, reporting, data analysis, and collaboration with multi-functional engineering teams across the company. Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field required.
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in EMI, Signal Integrity Engineering, electrical test and measurement, or a related engineering field.
- Hands-on experience performing laboratory-based electrical characterization, qualification testing, and data analysis.
- 5+ years of experience with RF measurements and EMI/Signal Integrity testing in a laboratory environment preferred. Qualifications
- Strong understanding of electronic circuits, semiconductor technology, and quality and reliability fundamentals.
- Hands-on experience with electrical test and measurement equipment, including oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers.
- Programming experience in Visual Basic, C++, or similar languages; experience with MATLAB for complex data analysis is helpful.
- Knowledge of Signal Integrity simulation tools and methodologies is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, solve complex technical problems, manage competing priorities, collaborate effectively across teams, and communicate clearly in both written and verbal formats.
