Job Summary Insight Global is seeking a Field Service Engineer (Electrical Testing) for a leading electrical services and engineering client. This individual will join a growing team supporting a manufacturing facility in Carol Stream, Illinois, focused heavily on breaker testing. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience testing electrical distribution equipment, a strong safety background, and the ability to work independently in an industrial environment. This contract-to-hire opportunity offers long-term growth, exposure to large-scale electrical testing operations, and mentorship from senior engineering leadership. Candidates with military electrical experience, NICET certifications, OSHA 10, or advanced electrical testing backgrounds are highly encouraged to apply. Responsibilities Perform electrical testing on low, medium, and high-voltage equipment Conduct extensive breaker testing using bench test equipment Document testing results and maintain accurate reports Troubleshoot electrical systems and equipment issues Support maintenance, commissioning, and reliability initiatives Follow NFPA 70E and company safety procedures Work alongside a team of electrical testing professionals within a manufacturing facility Required Experience 3+ years of electrical testing experience minimum 6+ years for higher end of pay range Experience testing power distribution equipment and breakers Ability to read electrical schematics and drawings Experience working in industrial, manufacturing, utility, or field service environments High school diploma or GED Ability to pass background check Preferred Experience OSHA 10 Certification NFPA70E Certification NICET Certification (Level I-IV) NETA testing experience Experience with breaker testing and protective relay testing

Pay:

$45.00 - $55.00 per hour
