Job Description

Electrical Engineer Job Description Join a dynamic team where you will apply standard engineering techniques and procedures to design, develop, and enhance medical devices such as external defibrillators, pacemakers, and monitors. You will be responsible for designing, testing, and documenting new circuitry, as well as modifying existing circuitry in systems and subsystems. You will collaborate closely with electrical, mechanical, and software engineers to develop and support complete systems and subsystems, and work with vendors and contractors as required. Additionally, you will support Manufacturing and Quality Assurance groups to debug or improve existing designs. Responsibilities Engage in design and development activities related to medical devices. Create and maintain documentation associated with engineering activities. Conduct debugging, testing, and qualification of designs. Participate in other projects related to engineering activities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product development. Essential Skills Proficiency in computer tools related to engineering. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Positive attitude with a strong affinity for teamwork, logic, innovation, initiative, and self-sufficiency. Analytical and troubleshooting skills. Ability to work with minimal oversight and demonstrated self-motivation. Commitment to continuous improvement of job-related skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. 3+ years of electrical engineering and product design experience. Experience in a medical or other highly regulated industry is strongly desired. Familiarity with electrical engineering test equipment, including multimeters, oscilloscopes, and power supplies. Experience in electrical design, schematic, hardware, cadence allegro, cadence, analog, and digital. Ability to execute a hardware test plan and propose solutions to any failures. Experience with digital electronics. Cadence proficiency is a must. Work Environment This position is fully on-site, contributing to a fast-growing product line. You will work with advanced technology in a highly regulated industry, focusing on new products like the monitor/defibrillator. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Hoffman Estates, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $65.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
