Job Description

Constellation Energy is seeking an Electrical I&C Engineer to support reliable operation of power generation facilities. In this role, you will design, specify, and maintain electrical, instrumentation, and control systems for utility-scale energy assets. Responsibilities include developing drawings and schematics, supporting DCS/PLC programming changes, troubleshooting equipment issues, and ensuring compliance with safety, NERC, and industry standards. You will collaborate with operations, maintenance, and project teams to implement upgrades, improve system performance, and support capital projects in a fast-paced, sustainability-focused environment. Responsibilities Design and maintain electrical, instrumentation, and control systems for power generation assets Develop and update engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications Support DCS/PLC configuration, programming changes, and system tuning Troubleshoot and resolve equipment and control system issues to maintain reliability Ensure compliance with safety regulations, NERC, and industry standards Support capital projects, upgrades, and modifications to plant systems Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams on root-cause analysis and improvements Prepare technical documentation, calculations, and reports Assist with commissioning, testing, and startup of new or modified systems Identify opportunities to improve system performance, efficiency, and reliability Required Skills Electrical power systems design Instrumentation and controls engineering DCS/PLC configuration and programming Control system troubleshooting P&ID and electrical schematic interpretation Protective relays and switchgear fundamentals NERC and industry compliance knowledge Root-cause failure analysis Technical documentation and reporting Project engineering and coordination
