at Rivian in Normal, Illinois, United States Job Description Sr. Staff Electrical HW Launch Engineers with Rivian Automotive, LLC in Normal, IL. Develop innovative solutions and processes in manufacturing to facilitate mass adoption of electric vehicles. Build and lead a team of engineers and technicians to support and resolve high priority electrical issues on Rivian's production line and be the first point of contact for all Vehicle Electrical issues at the Normal Assembly Plant. Lead cross functional alignment to address manufacturing concerns. Resolve issues on electrical components and the electrical system. Collaborate with all manufacturing partners and teams to increase quality through the complete product life cycle. Responsible for future design and technology improvements with Product Engineering.
RQMTS:
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a closely related field and 5 years of [or a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in as stated above and 2 years of] experience in any occupation of Systems Engineer, Application Engineer, or related. Must have experience with the following: working with product development in high volume manufacturing environment; electrical, software, and mechanical issues; using diagnostics tools oscilloscope, DMM, and CANalyzer; mechanical GD&T and component selection; using 2D and 3D design software to ensure correct harness design; developing low voltage power distribution designs for manufacturable mass production harnesses; and simplifying harness complexity and applying different improvement methodologies for design optimization.
Salary Range:
$146,000 -$218,000/yr.
