Job Description We are seeking a CE Electrical Engineer L3 to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in data center electrical systems, operations, and maintenance and a proven ability to support critical infrastructure, perform preventative maintenance, and execute procedures safely .Responsibilities:
Provide escort support for third-party contractors, sub-contractors, vendors, and service providers on site. Perform assigned tasks with supervision, including making rounds and initial assessments on equipment performance. Monitor maintenance and operations of data center equipment, including electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety systems, with supervision. Assist with emergency monitoring and response using Emergency Operating Procedures (EOPs), ensuring safe practices. Adhere to safety procedures and comply with all physical security procedures and policies. Take daily operational readings of electrical equipment during routine rounds, including temperatures, voltages, and currents. Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for critical environment planned work activities. Energize cabinets in colocations as directed. Perform Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) preventative maintenance on quarterly and annual cycles. Conduct system control panel preventative maintenance and battery preventative maintenance. Apply a fundamental understanding of the National Electrical Code to daily work activities. Assist with troubleshooting, repair, replacement, and calibration of instrument sensors. Support electrical infrastructures across the data center campus, from single large-capacity facilities to multiple smaller sites. Operate and monitor building management systems, including EPMS. Perform Remote Power Panel (RPP) shutdown of one source while maintaining critical load on the remaining source (N). Execute PDU shutdowns for power meter replacement. Support Power Interruption Testing (PIT). Support master controller shutdowns or replacements.Required Skills & Qualifications:
Previous data center experience. Experience with electrical systems in high availability environments such as data centers, oil and gas refineries, hospitals, pharmaceutical, or manufacturing facilities. High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. 5+ years of work or applied learning experience in technical fields such as automotive, electrical, controls, or data center operations. Able to work a flexible schedule, including 12-hour shifts, rotating shifts, and variable work weeks. Basic proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.Preferred Skills:
Experience with EPMS and building management systems. Knowledge of SOPs, MOPs, and EOPs within critical environments. Personal Protective Equipment (Supplier-Provided):Feet:
