HIL Engineer Job Description We are seeking a talented HIL Engineer to join our innovative team. The role involves working on Transmissions, Energy & Transportation, and Large Mining Trucks. You will be part of a team committed to software quality, ensuring all software releases are rigorously tested in a high-fidelity lab environment. This involves using a dSPACE test platform where all sensor inputs to the electronic system are simulated by dSPACE test hardware, and all actuator outputs are directed to the physical loads present on the machine. The dynamic simulations of machine hydraulic, transmission, engine systems, and operator inputs provide a complete virtual environment to test our control systems. Responsibilities Develop and execute automated test scripts in C or Python. Ensure software quality through comprehensive testing in a dSPACE test environment. Simulate sensor inputs and direct actuator outputs using dSPACE test hardware. Engage in dynamic simulations for machine hydraulic, transmission, and engine systems. Troubleshoot complex testing systems with hundreds of I/O channels. Collaborate with customers to clarify and complete requirements. Write configurable and sustainable code for long-term solutions. Essential Skills Proficiency in HIL, Python, and electrical wiring. Experience in test automation and validation. Knowledge of dSPACE, CANape, CANoe, and similar tools. Skills in plant modeling, Python scripting, and embedded C scripting. Ability to work with complex systems rather than single feature testing. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Electrical Engineering. Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with embedded software test or development. Familiarity with Simulink toolsets.
