Job Description
Electrical Design Engineer Job Summary We recently partnered with an industry leader in the equipment manufacturing industry that is seeking an innovative and detail-oriented Electrical Design Engineer to join their engineering team. In this role, you will bridge the gap between concept and production. You will be responsible for designing electrical systems, developing PCB/schematics, and ensuring designs are fully optimized for manufacturability (DFM) and testing. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to bring cutting-edge products from proto@type to full-scale manufacturing.
Responsibilities Product Development:
Design and develop electrical schematics, control systems, wiring harnesses, and printed circuit board (PCB) layouts. Design for Manufacturability (DFM): Optimize electrical designs for production efficiency, cost reduction, and high assembly yields.
Prototyping & Testing:
Build, test, and troubleshoot electrical proto@types, develop test fixtures, and analyze performance data.
Documentation:
Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), assembly drawings, and technical documentation.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaborate with mechanical and manufacturing engineers to integrate electrical components into broader product designs.
Production Support:
Support legacy and new product lines by evaluating component obsolescence, root-cause failure analysis, and continuous quality improvements.
Compliance:
Ensure all electrical designs adhere to industry safety standards and regulatory requirements
Qualifications Education:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
Experience:
5+ years of experience in electrical design, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Software Skills:
Proficiency with industry-standard CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, Altium Designer, OrCAD, or SolidWorks Electrical).
Manufacturing Knowledge:
Strong understanding of DFM principles, PCB fabrication, and electronic testing methodologies.
Analytical Skills:
Ability to utilize simulation tools, perform statistical methods (e.g., FMEA), and conduct thorough failure analysis.
Soft Skills:
Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Benefits Highly competitive salary and performance bonuses.
