3+ Years Job Summary Hunter Foundry is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer with 3+ years of experience to support the design, maintenance, troubleshooting, and improvement of electrical systems used in our foundry and manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with industrial electrical systems, automation, PLCs, and equipment reliability initiatives. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain electrical systems, control panels, and power distribution systems for foundry operations. Troubleshoot and resolve electrical, automation, and control system issues to minimize downtime. Program, modify, and maintain PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and industrial control systems. Support preventive and predictive maintenance activities for electrical equipment. Develop electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation. Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA, NEC, and other applicable safety standards. Collaborate with maintenance, production, and engineering teams to improve equipment performance and manufacturing efficiency. Assist in the planning, execution, and commissioning of capital improvement projects. Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for recurring equipment failures. Support vendors and contractors during equipment installations and upgrades. Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial manufacturing, foundry, metals, or heavy manufacturing environments. Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, motor controls, power distribution, and automation. Hands-on experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting (Allen Bradley preferred). Experience with HMIs, VFDs, sensors, and industrial networking. Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documents. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of
OSHA, NEC, NFPA
70E, and electrical safety practices. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and engineering software tools. Preferred Qualifications Professional Engineer (PE) certification is a plus. Experience in foundry, casting, metal processing, or heavy industrial operations. Familiarity with AutoCAD Electrical or similar design software. Experience with robotics and industrial automation systems.
