Full-time About the Role We are seeking a highly experienced Construction System Owner - Electrical & Instrumentation to provide field-based technical oversight and construction coordination on a large-scale pharmaceutical capital project. This role serves as the electrical and instrumentation technical authority in the field, ensuring installations are executed in alignment with approved design documentation, technical specifications, validated submittals, and GMP requirements. You will play a critical role in system integration, resolving field constraints, and supporting commissioning readiness across a multi-building campus. Key Responsibilities Technical Oversight & Coordination Provide field-based oversight of electrical distribution systems, control systems, and instrumentation installations Act as the primary technical point of contact for electrical and instrumentation disciplines to project leadership Coordinate interfaces across multiple disciplines including mechanical, process, automation, and CSA systems Installation Compliance & Readiness Confirm installations align with: IFC (Issued for Construction) drawings Technical specifications and approved submittals Project installation standards GMP and regulatory requirements Support first-in-place installation approvals in collaboration with client SMEs Risk Management & Issue Resolution Identify and escalate risks impacting: System operability and functionality Construction progress Energization and commissioning readiness Resolve constructability issues, installation conflicts, and access constraints System Integration & Commissioning Support Support system energization and commissioning readiness Participate in system walkdowns, punch list development, and readiness reviews Ensure systems are properly integrated and prepared for startup activities Post-Mechanical Completion (MC) Support Manage Non-CQ and operational systems post-MC through TCCC Support building-specific turnover milestones and Certificate of Occupancy (CO) alignment Assist with governance and resourcing strategies across multiple buildings Documentation & Reporting Maintain field observation records and track installation progress Support regular reporting and project meeting cadence Ensure turnover documentation is complete and compliant Accountabilities Serve as the discipline lead for electrical and instrumentation systems in the field Provide ongoing updates to project leadership on progress, risks, and integration readiness Support coordination between contractors, engineering teams, CQV teams, and automation groups Assist Construction Quality teams where overlap exists in inspections and acceptance activities Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or related discipline 10+ years of field experience on large-scale pharmaceutical or GMP-regulated construction projects Strong knowledge of: Electrical distribution systems (switchgear, MCCs, transformers, UPS, emergency power) Instrumentation and control systems (field devices, panels, loop checks, signal wiring) Applicable codes and standards (NEC/NFPA 70, IEC, ATEX) Experience supporting: System inspections and installation verification Energization and commissioning readiness Turnover documentation and project closeout Key Competencies Strong understanding of GMP construction practices and regulatory expectations Ability to identify and mitigate installation risks in complex, multi-discipline environments Excellent coordination and communication skills across diverse project teams Proven ability to work collaboratively with engineering, construction, CQV, and project leadership teams Why Join Us?
