CONTROLS INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY
We have an opportunity for an Controls Intern. Must be able to travel to our Fort Wayne facility during the week. Primary Job Responsibilities Learn from plant Manufacturing and Controls Engineers and Process Experts Implement Create Ideas and drive Continuous Improvement Assist engineering team with completing automation, tooling, lean, and other engineering projects Prepare presentations, technical documents, and other project documentation Assist troubleshooting, debugging, and developing improvements with auto and semi-auto assembly equipment Coordinate with others to determine root cause and implement permanent solutions Perform and document control system testing Review reports and test results to help develop or implement permanent improvements Develop How To instructions for all levels of operations Expectations Safety Conscious Ability to work up to 25 hours per week Punctual and efficient Self-motivated Results driven success including researching, designing and executing new technologies and or processes. Assist with hands on troubleshooting independently or within teams Effective oral and written communication skills Personal skills include the ability to work well with others, team spirit, flexibility with personal schedule to support operations Passion for learning and applying controls solution to manufacturing opportunities Microsoft Office tools experience required Continuous Improvement mindset Qualifications and Experience Working towards a degree from an accredited College or University in Engineering Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel Good communication skills Good troubleshooting skills Must be able to lift 40 lbs Candidates residing in California or Colorado are not eligible for remote positions.
