Job Description

Valparaiso University invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering ( https://www.valpo.edu/college-of-engineering/ ). Valparaiso University ("Valpo"), acommunity of learning grounded in the Lutheran tradition of scholarship, freedom, and faith, prepares students to lead and serve both churchand society. Located one hour southeast of Chicago on a 310-acre campus, Valpo is a comprehensive university with an enrollment ofapproximately 2,100 undergraduate and graduate students. Valparaiso University's undergraduate-only College of Engineering offersABET-accredited degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering. Qualifications The successful candidate will prepare and teach high-quality courses and laboratories in fundamental topics of Electrical and ComputerEngineering as well as advanced topics in their area of expertise, typically with a 21-credit teaching load, plus additional research andcampus citizenship activities. Candidates should have a Ph. D. (ABD considered) by August 2027 in Electrical or Computer Engineeringor a closely related field.
