Seeking a highly experienced Electrical Engineer with 15+ years of experience in high-speed circuit design and electro-mechanical systems , ideally with medical device/equipment development experience . We are seeking talented engineers who want to apply their expertise to improve patient outcomes worldwide. Position Summary The Staff Electrical Engineer sets technical direction across major systems or programs, governs engineering methods, and solves systemic hardware problems. This role leads high-risk design decisions, develops other engineers, influences customers and cross-functional teams, and ensures disciplined execution across architecture, risk management, verification, regulatory readiness, manufacturing, and lifecycle support. Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities Lead high-speed analog and digital, multi-system, advanced power and battery, precision motion, high-speed FPGA, RF, antenna, and highly constrained flex or multilayer architectures as applicable to program needs. Evaluate architectural alternatives using tolerance, interaction, signal-integrity, power-integrity, safety, use-condition, cost, manufacturability, reliability, and downstream-impact analyses. Approve hardware architecture, requirements, interface definitions, design documentation, and change impacts across major programs. Lead precision analog and high-speed digital debugging using advanced methods such as impedance analysis, S-parameters, eye diagrams, field modeling, and advanced analyzers as applicable. Resolve systemic failures that others cannot solve; introduce improved tools and methods and guide cross-functional containment and corrective action. Oversee hardware risk strategy across major programs, aligning system, hardware, usability, EMC, manufacturing, and patient-safety risks. Approve V&V strategies and reports; govern test automation, HALT/HASS, advanced characterization, evidence quality, and regulatory-test readiness. Lead manufacturing-readiness strategy and resolve supplier, obsolescence, production, reliability, and lifecycle risks across programs. Architect discipline deliverables into program plans, direct technical execution across major workstreams, and manage the work of others. Explain complex issues to technical and nontechnical audiences and lead difficult customer discussions, design reviews, and cross-team alignment. Conduct technical training, coach across disciplines, audit or improve work instructions and SOPs, and support large proposals and client technical reviews. Provide hardware technical leadership for regulatory submission content and application of relevant medical-device and EMC standards. Function as a hardware authority, provide forward-looking solutions to technical challenges, mentor and train team members on development processes and good practices, and provide meeting leadership when needed. Required Skills Sustained cross-program evidence of technical direction, engineering-method governance, systemic problem solving, and development of others. Advanced expertise in one or more high-complexity domains such as: Precision analog High-speed digital or FPGA RF or EMC Power and battery systems Motion control Reliability Constrained PCB technology Demonstrated leadership in hardware architecture, risk strategy, V&V readiness, design transfer, customer engagement, and regulatory submission support. Strong command of applicable quality, risk, electrical safety, EMC, and medical-device development standards. Ability to influence major technical decisions without relying solely on direct authority. Prior supervisory or management experience is preferred when the assignment includes formal people-leadership responsibilities. Experience & Education The ideal candidate will have: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree or equivalent advanced expertise preferred. 8-15 years of experience , including demonstrated technical leadership across projects or teams.
