Electrical Controls Engineer

Develop electrical controls system design, and PLC program solutions based on standard engineering principles, NEC codes, and customer Scope of Work for custom industrial automation equipment. Experience designing, programming, and debugging of multiple brands of PLC control systems and HMI's with Toyopuc, and Allen-Bradley experience preferred. Experience integrating and programming multiple brands of robots and Vision systems. Candidate must have ability to understand mechanical designs, electrical designs, automation, and to prepare materials, time, and labor estimates. Support Application Engineering team in pre-sales technical concept and budgeting. The Controls Engineer will also oversee the installation of equipment and training at customer sites as needed. Travel time estimated at 25%. Must be proficient in MS Office, Outlook, and AutoCAD knowledge is a plus. Electrical Engineering Degree, or technical experience equivalent preferred. Analyze project requirements and perform technical calculations supporting design including electrical requirements, robotic safety standards, and motor controls. Support manufacturing, and validation of systems which include pneumatics, servomotors, VFD's, relays, communication networks, touchscreens, and robot integration work. Create customer documentation such as user manuals, programming diagrams, network diagrams, and electrical drawings.
