Oversee procurement processes by collaborating with vendors and contractors, ensuring timely delivery of materials such as cables, transformers, switchgear, and other electrical components. Monitor construction site activities for safety compliance and quality assurance, conducting regular site inspections and audits. Manage contract negotiations and administration, including reviewing terms related to scope of work, change orders, and project scope adjustments. Utilize construction management tools like ProCore and Bluebeam for document control, progress tracking, and communication among stakeholders. Facilitate project meetings to coordinate schedules, resolve issues promptly, and ensure all team members are aligned on project objectives. Ensure adherence to all electrical codes (including NEC), safety protocols, and environmental regulations throughout project execution. Experience Proven experience in electrical engineering within the utility or heavy construction sectors, with a strong background in system design and schematic interpretation. Demonstrated success managing large-scale construction projects from initial planning through commissioning. Extensive knowledge of construction estimating software such as HeavyBid; proficiency in Primavera P6 for project scheduling; familiarity with Bluebeam for document management is highly desirable. Hands-on experience reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings related to electrical systems. Strong understanding of contracts management including scope development, change management, and legal considerations in construction projects.
