Job Description

Job Description:
Provide electrical maintenance engineering support for the Sebree plant. Primary areas include maintenance support, subject matter expert, troubleshooting, project sponsorship, developing and maintaining reliability programs, Root Cause Problem Elimination (RCPE), preventive and predictive maintenance programs. Demonstrates a positive teamwork attitude on a consistent basis. The ideal candidate will have the follow qualifications: Bachelor s Degree in Electrical Engineering 3-5 years experience in the Engineering field preferred Experience in a heavy industrial setting preferred Strong leadership, organization, and technical skills. Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills Proficient with computers, computer software, and other available tools which improve quality and productivity
Responsibilities Supports Plant Safety and Environmental Policies:
Adheres to Century safety policies. Conducts and documents housekeeping and PPE audits. Support company s environmental policies and assures that the environmental impact of changes to processes, equipment, and materials are evaluated.
Supports Operations and Maintenance:
Monitor shift reports, evaluate downtime activities, and lead troubleshooting initiatives on extended downtime, repeat failures, and when requested by leadership. Lead and/or sponsor improvement projects. Maintain an effective working relationship with personnel at all levels of the organization. Provide professional communication through presentations, reports and status updates. Generate ideas for improvements of processes and equipment. Analyze spare parts requirements and identify obsolete or excess spare parts. Participate in outages as needed. Assist with driving completion of work.. Develop and conduct training events to increase department knowledge and promote continuous improvement. Provide engineering support.
Improves Equipment and Process Reliability:
Provide reliability expertise and actively promote a culture of reliability. Performs Root Cause Problem Elimination (RCPE), including follow-up actions and recommendations. Develop new or improve existing preventive and predictive maintenance procedures. Defines, leads and coordinates maintenance work and projects. Stay up to date on reliability and maintenance best practices. Drive equipment improvements based on reliability data. Identify opportunities to improve equipment condition monitoring.
Administration:
Prepare regular oral and written status reports and ensure technical information is appropriately communicated and archived. Lead and/or sponsor capital projects and follow up on performance and completion. Develops and manages maintenance service contracts as needed. Prepare and revise equipment documentation as needed.
