Electrical Engineer

Summary Join an innovative team focused on developing and building lab test cabinets to support commissioning and functional testing. This position emphasizes robust and repeatable setups rather than production panel manufacturing.

Responsibilities:

Design and build lab test cabinets to support commissioning and functional testing. Implement 3-phase power distribution for drives, including protection, isolation, and safe-state behavior. Integrate core cabinet systems such as disconnects, breakers, fuses, contactors, and more. Define standardized interfaces to prevent miswires and reduce setup time. Develop and maintain test procedures, including checklists, power-up sequences, and functional checks. Support troubleshooting and failure analysis across electrical and controls boundaries. Collaborate closely with Software and Mechatronics engineers to ensure a technician-friendly solution. Produce technician-ready documentation, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and troubleshooting playbooks. Contribute to iterative improvement by prototyping, testing, and refining processes.

Qualifications:

Experience with high voltage 3-phase systems up to 480 VAC. Strong practical understanding of electrical safety. Ability to read and create electrical documentation. Hands-on troubleshooting skills with real equipment.

Additional Qualifications:

Experience with motor drives, VFDs, and servos. Familiarity with industrial safety circuits and interfaces. Experience writing technician workflows and acceptance procedures. Comfort in coordinating with Controls/PLC engineers. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Bedford, MA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $42.00/hr.
