Job Title Senior Electrical Engineer - Medical Imaging (Bedford, MA) Job Description Senior Electrical Engineer - Medical Imaging (Bedford, MA) We are seeking a talented Senior Electrical Engineer to join our engineering team to development and commercialization a novel intravascular imaging solutions. This individual will play a key role in the technical development, integration, and optimization of electrical subsystems across the product lifecycle, from early prototyping through manufacturing and commercialization. The position works closely with cross-functional hardware, mechanical, software, manufacturing, and test engineering teams in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment. This is a full-time, primarily on-site role based in Bedford, Massachusetts..
Your role:
Design, develop, fabricate, and test analog and digital electrical circuits, including sensors, signal conditioning, motor control, microcontrollers, and communication interfaces. Focus on hands-on implementation and performance validation. Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to integrate and validate electrical subsystems within complex system architectures. Ensure alignment across disciplines during system development. Develop circuit simulations, mathematical analyses, and clear technical documentation to support design optimization and verification. These artifacts enable informed design decisions and traceability. Support verification and validation activities, including V&V, reliability, EMC testing, and the development of associated test fixtures. Troubleshoot and debug hardware using standard lab equipment and hands-on techniques. Partner with manufacturing teams to improve production processes and develop production test fixtures. Contribute to next-generation product concepts, system architecture, and overall innovation. You're the right fit if: You bring a minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience as an individual contributor, ideally within medical devices or another highly regulated industry such as aerospace. You have strong electrical engineering skills, including schematic capture and PCB layout (preferably using Altium Designer), a solid grounding in electrical engineering theory and analytical problem solving, and familiarity with electrical safety and regulatory compliance standards (IEC 60601‑1, EMC, reliability testing).
Bonus:
experience with embedded C, Python-based automation or engineering tools, data acquisition systems, optical systems, motor control, and transition-to-manufacturing activities. You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related technical field. You are comfortable working in a regulated environment, collaborating cross-functionally, and supporting designs through development, verification, and manufacturing, with a focus on quality, reliability, and compliance. You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.
How we work together:
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company's facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company's main facilities, generally at the customers' or suppliers' locations. This is an onsite role and will be in the office 5 days a week.

Philips Transparency Details:
The pay range for this position in MA is $114,000 - $182,000. The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity. In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered. Employees are eligible to participate in our comprehensive Philips Total Rewards benefits program, which includes a generous PTO, 401k (up to 7% match), HSA (with company contribution), stock purchase plan, education reimbursement and much more. At Philips, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case.
